"Good flame, poor lid"

This lighter has a nice natural flame, is very windproof, substantial and sturdy design, great flame adjustability & butane capacity. The only let-down for me is the flip-top hinge gets sticky and difficult to operate. I have cleaned with alcohol several times, and the action improves with cleaning... but after the first cigar is lit, the hinge is again sticky.

"Sucks - don't believe the hype"

Have this lighter only with fancier case, but the same lighter. Xikar attracts people wanting to spend lots of money on over-priced and overhyped junk. Sending mine back for the second time. Cannot adjust the flame. Only works when adjustment is set to the max and then it goes out if I tilt the lighter one way or the other. And yes, I use Xikar fuel. Xikar has made a fortune charging ridiculous prices leading the buyer to belive he/she is buying the best. Not worth the money...

You can add another 10 pages of lighters and still you wont come up with a better one. The flame is actually part torch and part soft flame, you gotta see it. It simply out performs any lighter Ive ever owned. By the way a LIFETIME warranty. So what else do you want! This is the last lighter you will ever need.

"The best by far"

This lighter is by far the best out there. It has a hybrid soft/blue flame so it won't over torch your cigars. Its got the power of a torch but the coolness of a soft flame. You kind of have to see it to understand. Also you absolutely cannot blow this flame out. It is entirely windproof. The only thing it lacks is a window for the fuel but its easy to tell when it needs to be filled. It gets lighter(weight) and then putters a bit. When smoking a cigar its important to take your time and not draw on it too often because it gets hot and harsh right? So why light it with a blue torch thats over 1500 degrees? Lifetime warrantee and works exactly as advertised. Do I need to say anything else? Great customer service from Famous.
