I got a friends used one and loved it. Misplaced it on vacation and tried to get by with cheaper replacements, which can do in a pinch. This one s staying home. Deep, surgical cut. With cheaper ones if feels like youre plowing. Do yourself a favor.

If you re into a V-cut this is the cutter for you. Quality action and slide precision. It gives a deep cut even on large gauge cigars. Although it s still new, the blade is very sharp and cuts clean. Hopefully that cut is maintained.

Having a half-dozen various straight cutters, I figured I d try a V-cut at some point, and bought this last month. Wow! I found it cuts on average much better than a straight, and less tobacco flakes unless the cigar is drier than average. Provides a great cut for draw, so I can t say it definite offers a better draw capability than a straight, but it seems better. Same weight as my good pocket straight cutters, so no difference there. Overall, I ve been using this more often than my Xikars and Palio. Give it a try, if you can.
