"Go to cigar!!!"
The H. Upmann 1844 Reserve is my all-time go to cigar. It s all about flavor and aroma. I like medium and medium-full flavor cigars. Before I knew exactly what I liked, I would go to cigar shops and just browse the humidor for 15 or 20 minutes until other people came in to buy cigars and would give me recommendations. This was just one of the many different cigars that I picked up on a recommendation, but one of the few that I always come back to. This is a really nice smoke!

"Sublime"
Great cigar. Slow burning, full flavor without being overpowering. There are many notes to be discerned, but I don t go there in reviews as everyone s palate is different.
Speaking of. This is a cigar you want a clean palate for.
Enjoy!

"Good taste but size to large"
These are good tobacco for my taste. The size is cumbersome. Well made. I prefer the shorter ones.

"Poor quallity cigar"
Cigar would not stay lit. Very frustrating. I would never buy again.

"Watch your humidity levels"
Medium-bodied with classic flavors of wood grain and semi-bitter leaf tannins; cookie dough also entered the fray briefly on the second half.
I had stored this at 69 + % RH and it didn t like it a bit, as the draw was tight and the wrapper cracked halfway through.
Burn was uneven, and way too fast during the first half; lasted me less than 45 minutes til the nub. My guess is they require 3-4 months to settle down.

"Good cigar with classic tastes"
The appearance of the cigar is decent, with tight visible seams, some veins, and a couple of discolorations. The prelight aroma of the cigar is pleasant, with cedar from the wrapper and a rich milk chocolate from the foot. At first light, there s a good amount of smoke output, that dissipates slightly, but lasts throughout. The flavors through the first few draws are cedar, chocolate, and pepper on the palate and through the retrohale, more so with the latter. The smoke has a nice, creamy texture with a smooth finish, and the aroma is a spicy wood with chocolate, very similar to the flavors on the palate. After a while, the notes from the first draws remain, but nuts are added with a hint of cinnamon, and the wood becomes more dominant. Overall, the cigar comes in at a medium body and performed pretty well. Not bad!
