For anyone looking for a small cigar to have a quick smoke, this is a good one. Burns well, not too strong.

I’m a noob smoker, but I have a decent palate from whisky and espresso. I’ve been enjoying petite corona/cigarillo sized smokes and wanted to try a Robusto. I figured it probably wouldn’t be great, but the positive reviews convinced me it could be a good daily budget stick at least.
Going into it with an open mind, the construction was impressive. Solid body, tight packing, well wrapped head.
What a cruel way to give such false hope. The first puff revealed the construction to be the only good aspect. The smoke aroma smells just like a casino lobby, and the flavor was thankfully very faint. A grassy hay and vague nuttiness were all I could pick up, and when you puff hard to get a decent amount of these you also get a bad tar flavor.
I had had enough after literally the first half inch of ash, but I powered through hoping it could improve and get my $2 worth.
Spoiler: it did not. Same vague nutty hay taste throughout the stick with the tar taste building up over time, even after purging. Burn needed constant correction despite the smooth wrapper. Went out twice and each time I didn’t even want to relight it.
Not only an insult to Cubans which I of course wasn’t expecting, and have never even smoked a stick over $5 but an insult to affordable cigars. I’d rather have just smelled the fresh air outside.
Some say these are good to keep on hand for friends or new smokers. They won’t have friends for long, and if this was my first stick I probably would have never picked up the hobby.
Much better to smoke half as much with quality $4 sticks, or enjoy a smaller size like the Joya 4x32 cigarillos at $1 a pop and enjoy 20 minutes instead of an hour of regret.
The worst part is I overpaid at a local shop instead of getting them cheap at Famous which I love ordering from! .

Decent cigar for the price, but the consistency is not very good. The first third of cigar is good, but after that they are too tight to smoke, while also tunneling and blow out the sides. They also do not stay lit well.
